Quick Search

  • Quick Search finds course offerings by a single category (subject, target audience, or credit type) or keyword.
  • You can search course offerings by clicking on the "Search" icon on the Homepage, the "Search" button on the left side of any page, or the "Search" link on the bottom of any page.
  • Tips for Quick Search:
    • To make multiple selections, hold down the CTRL key (PC) or the COMMAND key (Mac).
    • A Quick Search will find more courses than Advanced Search. If your Quick Search results are too numerous, try to use an Advanced Search.

Advanced Search

  • Click on any "Advanced Search" link on the Search page. Advanced Searches work in the same manner as quick searches, except an Advanced Search permits you to use multiple categories and keywords to yield a more specific search.
  • Tips for searches:
    • If using an Advanced Search and the returns are not specific enough, then use more detailed keywords.
    • You can select multiple items by holding down the control (IBM) or command (MAC) key and left clicking on the item.

Browse

  • The Browse function displays the entire list of active courses in our database 10 listings at a time, in the order that they were submitted.
  • To Browse the course offerings click on the "Browse" icon on the Homepage or the "Browse All" link at the bottom of all pages.

Access a Course

  • Find a course that interests you by using the search or browse functions and viewing the course description. If you would either like to select the course or contact the offerer for more information, use the contact information on the Course Details page or visit the organization's webpage.
  • Registration and purchases do not occur on our site.

Post a Review

  • Find the course that you want to review using the Search or Browse pages. Click on "Submit a Review" to the right of the course name.
  • Or, click on "Write an Online Review" from any Course Details page.
  • You must have completed a course to post a review.

Stay Informed of New Courses

  • The "Stay Informed" function lets you sign up for e-mail notifications of new courses that match a specific search.
  • Search for the courses you want using a Quick Search or Advanced Search.
  • Click the link in the yellow "Stay Informed" box at the top of the Search Results page.
  • Enter your name and e-mail address. This information will be kept confidential by PHF and will not be shared with any other organization or individual.
  • Unsubscribe at any time; instructions are included with every notification.
  • Tips:
    • To receive notifications in multiple categories, hold down the CTRL key (PC) or COMMAND key (Mac) to include several selections in one search. Or, you can sign up separately for various searches.
    • If your search yields few or no courses, it may be too narrow. A simpler search may yield more courses and notifications.

What is the Zend Optimizer?

The Zend Optimizer is one of the most popular PHP plugins for performance-improvement, and has been available without charge, since the early days of PHP 4. It improves performance by scanning PHP's intermediate code and passing it through multiple Optimization Passes to replace inefficient code patterns with more efficient code blocks. The replaced code blocks perform exactly the same operations as the original code, only faster.

In addition to improving performance, the Zend Optimizer also enables PHP to transparently load files encoded by the Zend Guard.

The Zend Optimizer is a free product available for download from Zend Technologies. Zend Technologies also developed the PHP scripting engine, known as the Zend Engine.
